This page explains how Saint-Tropez Lux Yachts uses cookies and similar storage technologies on lacompagnie-a.com, the website through which we present our fleet and handle charter enquiries for Saint-Tropez. It is written for anyone who visits the site, whether or not they go on to send an enquiry.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small file that a website can place on your device to recognise you on a later visit or while you browse. Local storage and session storage are similar mechanisms built into your browser that let a site keep small pieces of information on your device instead of, or alongside, cookies. We refer to all of these together as storage technologies in this page.
2. No cookies, no trackers
lacompagnie-a.com does not set any cookies of its own, and we have not installed any third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tool. We do not use advertising pixels, and no partner can follow you from this site onto other websites.
3. How we measure visits
We count visits using a first-party measurement tool that we host and control on lacompagnie-a.com, with no outside analytics provider involved. It records the pages you view, time spent on each page, the site that referred you, any campaign parameters present in the link you followed, your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language, and a country derived from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored. If you send an enquiry or tap a phone or WhatsApp link, that action is linked to your visit so we know which channel brought you to us; this measurement does not use cookies.
For this measurement, the browser holds one local storage entry containing random visitor and session identifiers. It expires 30 days after your last visit and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
4. Other storage on the site
Two further entries are kept in your browser for practical reasons. A local storage entry remembers that you closed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page. A session storage entry remembers which yacht you clicked on, so that the enquiry form can show the right boat already selected; it is removed as soon as you submit the form or close the tab. None of these entries contains your name, contact details or any other personal information.
5. Requests to outside services
A small number of resources are loaded directly from outside providers so the site displays and functions correctly. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser fetches the typeface. The phone-number field in our enquiry form uses the intl-tel-input library, delivered through the jsDelivr content delivery network, which also receives your IP address when the file is fetched. Neither of these providers places a cookie for our benefit, and we do not share any additional information with them.
6. WhatsApp buttons
The WhatsApp buttons on our site set nothing on your device and open nothing until you click them. When you do, we record the click, the page you were on, the referring site, your browser language and the prefilled message text in our own booking system, and your browser then opens WhatsApp. From that point, your conversation takes place on WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not ours.
7. Controlling storage and future changes
You can view, block or delete cookies and local or session storage at any time through your browser settings; the exact steps depend on the browser you use, and doing so may remove the prefilled selections described above. Clearing your browser storage will also reset the 30-day visit identifiers.
If we ever decide to add optional cookies, for instance for a new feature, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before any such cookie is set.
